• Email address and password (for account creation)
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card details)
• Companies you choose to monitor
• Usage data such as login times and pages visited

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Service
• Send you daily job alert emails
• Process your subscription payments
• Respond to your support requests
• Improve the Service over time

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Job posting data we collect is stored and associated with your account. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

4. Third Party Services

We use the following third party services to operate Company Canary:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Supabase — database and authentication
• Google Workspace — email delivery
• Railway — application hosting

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

5. Email Communications

By signing up for Company Canary, you agree to receive daily job alert emails. You may cancel your subscription at any time to stop receiving these emails. We do not send marketing emails beyond the core service alerts.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service (i.e. the third party services listed above). We will never sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings but this may prevent you from logging in.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at cameron@company-canary.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
